Putting for Scholarships

Our scholarship program has helped more than 425 residents attend college since 1997. Currently, the number of qualified applicants far exceeds our available funds to meet the need. Your participation in this event will help us raise $100,000 for our scholarship program for Fall 2006.


WHAT:	Putting for Scholarships 18 holes of golf putting, games, prizes, raffles, buffet supper

WHO:	A tented reception featuring special guests: The Honorable Richard M. Daley Mayor, City of Chicago (Invited) Terry Peterson CHA Executive Director

WHEN:	June 15, 2006, 6:00-10:00 p.m.

WHERE:	The Green at Grant Park Monroe Street at Lake Shore Drive, Chicago

HOW:	Individuals and groups welcome. $250 contribution per person. (Tax-deductible portion of contribution is $230). Sponsorships available for $15,000-$5,000. Scholarships are competitively awarded annually to qualified CHA residents and relocated Housing Choice Voucher holders.

Deadline for submitting applications for Fall 2006 is May 12, 2006.

Awards will be made in August. Funds may be used by students to supplement other financial assistance for tuition and other associated costs, room and board, fees, and textbooks.
